En Voyage Perfumes Debuts Rainmaker Eau De Parfum May 13, 2016 15:36
New Woody-Amber Chypre for Men and Women Exalts the Iconic Pacific Northwest
PORTLAND – May 13, 2016 - PRLog -- Award-Winning Artisanal Perfumer Shelley Waddington of En Voyage
Perfumes is releasing a new fragrance for men and women that is inspired by the forested terroir and Bohemian lifestyle of the Pacific Northwest.
The Pacific Northwest, a place of Native American origins, is also famed for its edgy, unconventional artistic and urban culture. “I wanted to interpret and decode the distinctive elements of this region, and to distill them into a fragrance that celebrates their story,” notes Ms. Waddington. Rainmaking originally referred to a cultural ritual that induced rainfall. In popular culture, a rainmaker refers to a creator of something valued. “In expanding my creative work, I wanted to provide a mist of beauty and attraction
Rainmaker has a contemporary signature that exalts and infuses the native mossy forest, rainy weather and fragrant earth with modern perspectives and light.
Rainmaker Eau de Parfum: A woody-amber chypre for men and women
TOP Notes: Rose Leaf, Silver Pine Tips, Wild Citrus
HEART Notes: Incense, Patchouli, Iris, Rhododendron
BASE Notes: Mossy Rain Forest Notes of Cedar, Fir, Redwood Needles, Petrichor, Oak moss and Amber
Rainmaker is an exquisitely crafted eau de parfum using a very high percentage of pure extraits, natural materials, and proprietary blends. All En Voyage Perfumes are created, compounded, bottled and packaged at Shelley Waddington’s Studio in Portland, Oregon.
Rainmaker will be available on the EnVoyage Perfumes website in the Odyssey Collection, and at select stockists beginning June 11, 2016. Rainmaker will be available in .5oz Eau de Parfum spray ($70.00) and 1oz Eau de Parfum ($90.00).

Reviewer Insights: Perfume do Dia by Henrique Perella July 28, 2015 01:30
As Brazilian perfume writer, Henrique, notes in his review, Frida Eau de Parfum pays homage to a great Mexican artist on what would be her 108th birthday. Perella generously describes the dominant tuberose as "an exuberant flower, a beauty with an unconventional and a vibrant and complex aroma, having a kind of surrealist side in its smell and on the other hand with a beauty in its aroma that seems to celebrate life.
Henrique also likens the facets of Frida eau de parfum to the many aspects of the complicated woman herself, "...sometimes fruity and floral and other times becoming carnal, sexual, with animalic nuance acting in the background of the composition.
"There is another aspect here that makes me think of Frida in a more solemn and contemplative way, continues the author, "perhaps by the presence of chypre elements and a clever use of the leathery iso-butyl quinoline aroma, which is exploited here to create the green pepper aroma that this material precisely has in its secondary notes. And there is also the Frida vibrant, full of life, which extracts the best, using what would be her faults as virtues and beauty.
"The scent of tuberose is thus transformed by the hands of Shelley: a dry green refers to the sap of plants, evolving into a vibrant floral aroma blend of tuberose, hibiscus with a hint of jasmine and ylang to complement the beauty and exoticism of the composition.
"...you can extract different impressions and textures of this perfume, which is concerned mainly in celebrating the contradictions that make us human and as attractive as we are.
"By celebrating the great artist, Shelley makes me wonder what are we losing in perfumery as we seek fragrances that do not challenge in the beginning, fragrances that bring more of the same.
"We need more people like Frida Kahlo and perfumes as Frida."

A NEW PERFUME!
Peace, Love & Perfume: An active Facebook community where 700 global perfume lovers congregate 24/7.
Founded: September, 2011 by Carlos Powell, Brooklyn, New York
Peace, Love & Perfume Project: In the spirit of a celebration amongst friends, Carlos pitched perfumers to commemorate the Third Anniversary of Peace, Love & Perfume by creating a fragrance or fragrances according to the following creative brief:
Peace - an incense meditative perfume
Love - an animalic sexy perfume
Perfume - a classic cologne with a twist
Carlos’ invite drew in many of the best, a tribute of our respect.
My Interpretation: I wanted to make one perfume that, incorporating all elements of the brief, would of course give a nod to Carlos and the men of New York, and that would honor each of our individual heartfelt stories; a collective fragrance anthology.
The Scent of a Man in the City and those who love the way they smell. The Scent of Peace, Love, and Perfume.
You KNOW it includes scotch and cigars and a little bud.
Coming Soon.
